Sooo, I've finally sorted through my Farnborough photos...
Turns out it took longer to sort / edit them than I anticipated...
Took over 5,000 photos on the day...
Whittled it down to 550 "good" ones...
Editted around 200...
I'm now left with 80 I'll be uploading...
However, I'm still unsure about 5 of them...
Don't worry, I won't be spamming your messages with them all at once; I'll try and upload no more than 10 on any one day
I'll start with the static planes today, then will upload the airborne planes (and people) in the order I took them.
Please note there are some awesome ones, and some not so great ones, but I like them all for different reasons
Some look natural, and others are obviously editted. But where it looks not-so-natural, I rather like the way they came out
I've had to crop all the photos I'm uploading, and do saturation / contrast / brightness / curve adjustments as the weather wasn't great (though the sun did come out for a few of the displays).
I also had the ISO constantly at around 1000, so have had to do some smoothing.
I think the latter edits are generally better than the first ones, partly due to weather, partly due to actually figuring out how to use the editting program I have... I'll let you guys be the judge of that though!
Anyways, that's enough about my snap-happy problems
Hope you all had a great Christmas and have a great new year!
Claire

It's 2018!
How did that happen?!
My last journal entry seemed to be in 2014, and I have to admit that I haven't really been back here since!
That may change this year, as my 2018 challenge is to refocus on my photography. In particular, I'm keen to learn how to get the best out of my photos, and plan to go on a few courses which should teach me Photoshop and Lightroom basics. But if the last few years have taught me anything, it's that work, life, and travel leave little time for major edits or uploads, so I won't promise anything!
Ideally, I'll start using this again for my DSLR photos, whilst maintaining my Instagram account for photos I've taken
Suggestions?
Hi everyone!
Sorry for my inactiveness the last 11 months or so... A mixture of work, gym, socialising, trying to enjoy nice days by being outdoors and a very slow laptop have squeezed my time and this site has had to give a bit. However, I have tried to get on here occasionally as I love seeing the latest works of all you guys :)
As the nights draw in and the weather turns cold and grey, I think I'm going to be a bit more active again. I also invested a little bit in my computing equipment, which means I am now on a lookout for a suitable photo editor. I therefore have two questions:
1) What photo-editing software do you use / would you r
Happy New Year! And, you're featured!
Happy New Year everyone!
Hope 2014 brings you everything you wish for and more :)
Since I have 113 active / not so active followers, I thought I'd do a photography special from within my followers to say thank you! (Apologies if I have missed someone out though!)
