This pair are very good, I have seen them many times and they always put on a wonderful display. They aircraft are Fournier RF4s BTW. Technically not fully gliders and are motor gliders, as they are powered. I assume if the engine were off though that they could operate like a traditional glider.
They were indeed impressive! I was surprised at how many tricks they could do!
I did wonder at the whole "glider" thing when they were constantly going upwards as well as down (and I hadn't seen them attached to a tow-plane or anything at any point!) lol. Looking online, it seems like the engine's mainly there for take-off and "extra" power, so they probably could work as traditional gliders
